Another famous restuarant we tried in Cagayan de Oro is Sentro 1850. It’s located along Velez St. We went there via taxi cause it was raining. but I think it’s walkable from Traveler’s Pod.. 30-40 minute walk.. if you’re up for the challenge.
The restaurant was jam-packed. It was only 7pm and we were 4th on the waitlist.
Bric-A-Brac Baby Back (Php 240)- Lousiana-style charcoal-grilled baby back ribs basted with smoked barbecue sauce. Not a fan of their sauce cause it tasted like alcohol. but there’s no need to put on sauce actually since the ribs is already “well-sauced”. lol if there’s such a term.
Ima’s Kawali (Php 200)- Crispy deep fried pork belly with liver sauce and spicy vinaigrette. One of the best Lechon Kawali i’ve tasted. Crispy, juicy and not too oily. It was very tempting to eat the fat (taba) but i needed to be a good example to the oldies I was with. LOL Peace!
Would defininitely come back when i get the chance. Good, good, good food.
