Ostrich Salpicao, Anyone?

Aside from Pastel, which is actually not a specialty of Cagayan de Oro but Camiguin, I wanted to try CDO’s famous dishes. I stumbled upon a blog that featured Kagay-anon’s Ostrich Salpicao so this was first on my list.

Kagay-anon opens at 5:30pm everyday and it’s beside Limketkai. There’s a walkway from limketkai and traveler’s pod to Kagay-anon but it’s currently under construction.

Gising Gising- a bit watery but good. nothing will beat Recipes’ gising gising though

Ostrich Salpicao- The texture is like beef: tender and chewy. It was scary to eat at first cause I know that it’s an ostrich. and Ostriches are not meant to be eaten. but yeah. IT WAS GOOOOD.

Kagay-anon have other interesting dishes like crocodile. But my stomach can only take in so much.
